"Know Who I Am"

I cried out to God
Show Me Your Face
and God
sent me a Child
I learned about Surrender
As I gave way to the surges of birthing energy
I learned Compassion
As my little one's cry pierced my heart
I learned Powerlessness
as I laid awake with my inconsolable infant
I learned Faithfulness
Rocking my feverish baby day and night waiting
for the healing,
I found Patience
As my child asked me to do it again
just one more time
I learned Fierceness in love
That could take me to death to defend
my sweet child
I learned Tolerance
Accepting myself enough to love my child
in a fit of tantrum,
I learned Kindness
As my tears were kissed away by tiny lips
I learned Respect
As I wondered at the profound wisdom
of one so small,
I learned Humility
Seeing the Divine in the eyes of my Child
God Answered My Cry
Know Who I Am
As You Love Your Child
So It is That I Love You.

"Forgiveness"

~Always
  FORGIVE
 YOUR
 ENEMIES;
 NOTHING
ANNOYS
THEM
SO
MUCH.

"Pain"

 Your Pain
is the breaking of the shell
that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its
Heart may stand in the Sun,
so must you know Pain.
And could you keep your Heart in the wonder at the daily
Miracles of your Life,
Your Pain would not seem less wondrous than your Joy.
And would you accept the Seasons of your Heart,
even as you have always accepted the Seasons
 that pass over your Fields.
And would you watch with Serenity
through the Winter of your Grief.
Much of your Pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the Physician
within  you heals the sick self.
Therefore, trust the Physician,
and drink its remedy in Silence and Tranquility;
For his hand though heavy and hard,
is Guided by the Tender hands
of the Unseen.
And the cup he brings,
though it burns your lips,
has been fashioned of the
clay which the Potter
has moistened
with His own
Sacred
Tears.

"Friendship"

And a youth said,
" Speak to us of Friendship."
Your Friend is your Needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with Love
and reap with Thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your Hunger and you seek him for Peace.
When your Friend speaks his mind you fear not the "Nay"
in your own mind, nor do you withhold the"Ay."
And when he is Silent your Heart ceases not to Listen to his Heart;
for without words, in Friendship,
all thoughts, all desires,
all expectations are born and shared,
with Joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your Friend, you Grieve Not;
For that which you Love most in him
may be clearer in his absence,
as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in Friendship
save but the deepening of Spirit.
For Love that seeks aught but the disclosure
of its own mystery
is Not Love,
but a net cast forth,
and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your Best be for your Friend.
If he must know the Ebb of your tide,
let him know its Flood also.
For what is your Friend that you should seek him
with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to Live.
For it is his to fill your Need,
but Not your Emptiness.
And in the Sweetness of Friendship let there be Laughter,
and Sharing of  Pleasures.
For in the Dew of Little Things
the Heart finds its Morning
and is Refreshed.

"Your Children"

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their Souls.
For their Souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you
cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For Life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

*Since I began my blog, last October,  I have been indeed  blessed to have viewers from every Continent, with the exception of Australia. I do so hope in the New Year to have some viewers, from this very special land and equally special people!
Also, being of Irish Decent, I would be very happy to see viewers, from Ireland. Perhaps, the audience listings are not that concise, as I have viewers from the U.K. Yet, Ireland is never mentioned. Perhaps, you would leave me a comment, if you are viewing  from the Republic of Ireland. I would be very happy to hear from you. If you so desire, I will respond back to you. ~I want to thank those who view from the many countries of this vast World.~ It is a joy to see your Country and People represented. Again, I thank you! ~Beannaichte'
