"Ode to Eddie"

30 October, 2011

Last month, I lost a very dear friend.  Though we never met in person, we shared a true friendship, through music and writing.  I sent him a Native American Prayer, which he truly enjoyed.  I intended on sending yet another one, but his untimely death preceded  my doing so.  Such a sweet man, with a kind and compassionate Spirit. ~ Eddie, this is for you, your family, and your many friends. ~ A special mention to two of his closest friends, Marianne and Ron.  I hope this prayer will bring comfort, and healing, to all who knew and loved this Special man .~ A man with such a huge heart, and generous Spirit.

 Always,

 An Irish Lady,
~ Beannaichte'

I give you this one thought to keep ~
I am with you still,
I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow;
I am the sunshine on ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you awaken
in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars
that shine at night.

Do not think of me as gone ~
I am with you still,
In each new dawn.

" Nonsense"

29 October, 2011

My day was hectic.  And how was your day?  I am disgusted by the nonsense people catapult into my life, on a daily basis.  Personally, I am tired of it!  I am no longer tolerant of it, and those who propagate it. Too simple?  I suppose. Yet, perhaps when situations are seen at their lowest common denominator, that is when the tide can shift in thinking and behavior, leading us to wiser and more reliable decisions. I am tossing this out, as I have become exhausted, using my best mental resources, to try and figure out nonsense.  I believe this is the reason it is referred to, as "nonsense".  Tricky stuff!  Simply, it does not make sense, nor is it sensible!  It then becomes "nonsensical" to attempt to find sound thinking, in any aspect of it! ~ My day was hectic.  And how was your day...

"My Sister's Words"

28 October, 2011
"My Sister's Words"

Yesterday, I received a card, from my sister.  It read, as follows: "Just a short note, to say thank You, for every thing.  I just read, this morning, that all our persecutions and trials, in short, work together, for our good, whereby; good is brought to us.  I truly believe this.  We know God is in control, and for this, we are truly grateful.  Remember, He is taking care of us.  So, look up, as Our Redemption draws near."
"May God continue to bless You, each day."

  Love, Sharon

Thank you, Sharon, for your kind and thoughtful words. They bring me encouragement, in both their truth and clarity.
You and yours, remain in my thoughts and prayers.
~  I love You!

    Your sister,
    Rene
