"In Pastures Green"

He
has set me
in a place of pasture ~
 In Pastures Green?
Not always; sometimes He
Who knoweth best, in kindness
leadeth me.
In weary ways, where heavy shadows be;
Out' of the sunshine warm and soft and bright,
Out' of the sunshine into the darkest night.
I oft would faint with sorrow and affright,
Only for this~ I know He holds my hand.
so whether in a green or desert land,
I trust Him, though I do not understand.
And by Still Waters?
No, not always so;
Oft times the heavy tempests round me blow.
And o'er my Soul the waves and billows go.
But when the storm beats loudest
and I cry ~
Aloud for help
the Master standeth by ~
And whispers to my Soul,
"Lo it is I."
Above the tempest wild I hear Him say:
"Beyond the darkness lies the Perfect Day.
In every Path of thine, I lead the Way."
So whether on the hill-top high and fair
I dwell, or in the sunless valley,
 where the shadows lie~
What matter?
He is there.
Yea, more than this,
 where'er the Pathway lead ~
He gives me no helpless, broken reed.
But His own Hand,
sufficient for my need.
So where'er He leadeth
I can safely go;
And in the Blest Hereafter,
I shall know ~
Why in His Wisdom
He hath led me so.

"My Sister's Journey"

~ From my sister, Sharon*...
<<<+>>>
Our Heavenly Father has a thousand
Ways to provide for us of which we know
nothing. Those who accept the One Principle
of making the Service of God Supreme, will
find perplexities vanish before
their feet.
The Faithful discharge of today's duties
is the Best preparation for tomorrow's trials.
Do not gather together all tomorrow's
liabilities and cares and add
them to the burden
of today.
(Matthew 6;34)
<><  ><> <><
Let us be Hopeful and Courageous,
Despondency in God's Service
is unreasonable.
He knows are every necessity.
To the Omnipotence of the King of kings
our Covenant-Keeping God unites
the Gentleness and Care
of the Tender Shepherd.
His Power is Absolute,
and it is a Pledge of the sure
 Fulfillment
of His Promises to All
who Trust Him.
He has means for the removal
of Every difficulty,
 that those who Serve Him
and Respect  the means He employs
 may be
Sustained.
His Love is as far above all other Love
as the Heavens are above the earth.
He watches over His Children
with a Love
that is Measureless
and
Everlasting.
In the Darkest days,
when appearances seem most forbidding,
have Faith in  God.
He is working out His Will,
doing All things Well
in Behalf of
His people.
The Strength of those who
Love and Serve Him
will be Renewed
Day by Day.
He is able and willing to bestow
upon His servants All the help
they Need.
He will give them Wisdom
which their varied necessities demand.
Said the tried Apostle Paul:
`He said unto me,
My Grace is Sufficient for thee:
for My Strength is made Perfect
  in Weakness.'
(2 Corinthians 12:9)

* My sister continues to demonstrate these words in her life, on a daily basis. She is in the final stages, of cancer.
Sharon, you are a Brave Soldier, a beloved Sister, Wife, Aunt, and a True Friend, for so very many- and a fierce advocate for the abused and suffering animals, that you so deeply respect and love.
May Our Lord continue to hold you in the Palm of His Mighty Hand!  Is Brea' Liom Tu',

"Sisters"

We
are Sisters...
our memories
filled with the same images
of Family pets
braided hair and Kinsale Cloaks
Holiday gatherings
and long car trips.

Sisters
with our own world of negotiations,
truces, pacts, secrets,
and looks of shared understanding,
United by a million everyday moments
that became
a Lifetime of Sharing.

We are Sisters...
And we need Never ask ourselves
who we are,
for in each other we can see
the girls we were,
the Women we have become,
how far we have Traveled
in our Journey Together.

And we know what only
Sisters can know...
that a Love that Grows
through stages and phases
is Stronger for having been tested.
That sticking together
works for almost anything Life can throw at us.
That we Belong to each other
in a way we can never Belong to anyone else~
in a way that is Deep, and Lasting, and Real.

"To Sharon, from Marianne"...

As some of you know, my Sister is fighting an on-going battle, with cancer.
Earlier, last evening, I received a post, from a friend, who is aware of Sharon's struggle. The following, are her words , for my Sister; as follows:
Sharon, I do not know what type of cancer you have, or what stage it has reached...but I can only imagine, this is a very tender time. I care about you, even though we have not met. I feel as if I know you.
Maybe you smile, but I know you cry, too. Sometimes, you feel warm and cozy, and sometimes, you feel cold, empty, small, tired, and alone.
You lay awake, but you dream.~ You are standing, at a crossroad, in thick fog, lost for a direction.
Yet, you want to put up a fight against a disease of pain, devastation, and sadness, you do not deserve.
We can not see the beyond the Road...but we do know, it will lead us all, some day, into Infinity.
I give you an encouraging hug, and a warm smile, Sharon...
~Sail on life's silver river, winding, with Courage and Faith.
~I pray for peaceful waters, and God's embrace.

"My Sister"

~ My sister's first name is Sharon. She is eleven months older, than myself.  We are of Irish Decent. We are Irish Twins.  We look very little alike, but are voices are similar.  So much so, when we were younger, people could not tell us apart, on the telephone.  That always amused me, because I could not find the similarity, until later in life.

My sister is ill with cancer.  This does not amuse me.  I only know that I want her to be well, again.

I am unsure as to the road this illness will take her, as it has been filled with  many twists and turns.  She has navigated the course, with courage, grace, and tremendous strength of Spirit.  I would like to say, I have done the same. Yet, this would be dishonest, as I have not.

Cancer is like many other chronic illnesses.  It can strip you bare.  It spins a wide web, and captures so much in its grasp.  Not unlike a web, it is often difficult to distinguish what it will take, until it has captured what it can snare; so secretly, and quietly.
~ I love my sister.  I hate the disease. Yet, the disease continues to live inside her body.  Each day it is  perhaps taking a little more of her...

~ I will always love my Sister; my Irish Twin!

"My Sister's Words"

28 October, 2011
"My Sister's Words"

Yesterday, I received a card, from my sister.  It read, as follows: "Just a short note, to say thank You, for every thing.  I just read, this morning, that all our persecutions and trials, in short, work together, for our good, whereby; good is brought to us.  I truly believe this.  We know God is in control, and for this, we are truly grateful.  Remember, He is taking care of us.  So, look up, as Our Redemption draws near."
"May God continue to bless You, each day."

  Love, Sharon

Thank you, Sharon, for your kind and thoughtful words. They bring me encouragement, in both their truth and clarity.
You and yours, remain in my thoughts and prayers.
~  I love You!

    Your sister,
    Rene
